We teach a variety of social, competitive, and specialty dances on a rotating basis. We continue to update this page as new styles are offered. Here are descriptions of many dance styles we teach, in alphabetical order...

Bachata - A mid-tempo Latin dance from the Dominican streets that travels from side to side following the string guitar music.  

Cha Cha - A hot Latin and slow Country dance with a combination of slow rock steps and quick together steps following the syncopated "4-and-1" rhythm.  

Fox Trot - American Style Fox Trot is an easy walking dance matching several tempos of Big Band, Jazz, and Crooner favorites-also great for weddings & events.  

Hustle - The old 70s disco favorite is still and alive and happening in America . Using a syncopated rhythm, this slotted-yet-always-rotating upbeat dance has lots of turns for the follower and easy footwork for the leader.  

Merengue - A fast Latin dance from the Dominican streets with a strong influence from African music that has easy marching steps and lots of turns and interesting arm locks for the leader and follower.  

NC Fox Trot - Nightclub Fox Trot, a.k.a. Foxy, is a slower version of the 6-count American Style Fox Trot that is an easy walk to those slow, romantic contemporary songs that just seem too close and romantic for any other dance style.  

Rumba - American Style Rumba is a slower, Latin dance with a combination of slow and fast turns for the lady and man.  

Salsa - The Hot and Sexy dance of the streets from all over Central and South America , Salsa is danced the world over to popular Salsa music. Our classes teach the "on 1" style because it is easiest to follow the strong Congo drum.  

Swing/East Coast Swing - Derived from the timeless Jitterbug style, Swing is an upbeat, fun, social dance that can be danced in single or triple time. Lots of walks, chasses, rock steps, and kick steps to keep you hoppin' to the beat.  

Tango - American Style Tango is a style of Tango with staccato, cat-like movements, leg swivels, and head snaps danced with lots of attitude and stealth.

Two Step - The traditional country dance favorite that is an easy walk to many speeds of music. A fun, traveling dance with turns for the follower as well as partner turns together.  

Waltz - American Style Waltz is an easy to learn dance that can stay in place or travel around the floor-great for social events and weddings.

West Coast Swing (WCS) - A very versatile, slotted dance, WCS fits to music with slow Blues, sultry Jazz, cool Country, sexy R&B, and funky Hip Hop. While it requires a good understanding of connecting to your partner, it is full of fun spins and passes.
